The Project

Contributed design and motion graphics direction to a news special that received an Emmy Award — one of the highest honors in broadcast journalism. The project required crafting a visual language that elevated a critical local story to a cinematic, broadcast-quality presentation.

The Problem

News specials demand design that is both visually compelling and journalistically credible. The creative had to serve the story without overpowering it — building emotion and context through motion graphics, typography, and visual sequencing.

The Solution

Designed on-air graphics packages, motion titles, lower thirds, full-screen data visualizations, and transitional elements. Collaborated closely with producers and editorial leadership to ensure every visual decision served the narrative arc of the special.
